What is it exactly?
Hammerspace is a creative studio where big ideas find form. we pull from an invisible toolkit of dreams, stories, and crafts to build brands, spaces, products, and experiences that feel both inevitable and impossible.
we think like artists, but work like engineers.
from the dream of a concept to the final physical touchpoint, we design worlds that are as dreamy as they are believable.
rooted in strategy, elevated by aesthetics, and executed with obsessive care.
whether it’s shaping a visual identity, curating a spatial installation, or designing something that’s never existed before, hammerspace is where ideas come to life: beautifully, precisely, and all in one place.
hamza Mekdad is a designer, artist, and the founder of Hammerspace. known for blurring the lines between concept and craft, he has spent the last decade shaping some of the most iconic spaces, brands, and cultural experiences in the mena region.
before founding Hammerspace, Hamza served as the creative director at factory people and garten, where he led the creation of groundbreaking nightlife and hospitality concepts that redefined regional taste and set new standards for immersive design. his vision is behind some of the most talked-about venues and festivals across beirut, dubai, turkey, egypt, london and beyond.
Parallel to his work in branding and spatial design, hamza maintains a rigorous artistic practice. His installations and design pieces have been exhibited at milan design week, dubai design week, and the harewood biennial in the uk, among others. each piece merging meticulous technical execution with a deep engagement in cultural and material storytelling.
at Hammerspace, he brings it all together:
the imagination of an artist, the precision of a designer, and the ambition of a world-builder. His approach is equal parts poetic and pragmatic.
